Knowlegable. Caring. Both vets and staff. If you have emergency it's the place to go. For everyday care it's the place to go.

We live near Raleigh NC, but have a cabin in Woodlawn. We didn't have a local vet and in May discovered a lump on Zeus' jaw. We took him to Mountain View. We were treated with the utmost compassion as they told us it was likely cancer. Both doctors were extremely knowledgable and compassionate, and took whatever time we needed to understand the options. After a follow up surgery last month to buy us some more time, Zeus took a turn for the worse this morning and we had to say goodbye at our home vet - we had planned to bring him back to MountainView due to their awesome care. Someday we'll be ready for another faithful friend, and it's good to know this wonderful place is available.

Vet Jacob is an amazing and caring vet. Very knowledgeable as well as also attentive to his patients and their keepers. He was first highly recommend to me by an equine vet that I went to school with. I have had him as our family vet for a couple of years now but not until today have I concluded the true good care in a time of need and I am greatly appreciative of this. Our family had a very loved pekingese that passed away this morning and he conducted a necropsy per my request. It's not just the practice that I am writing a good review about but the mindful sentiment that Jacob provides as well. He made the whole situation more alleviating and personally followed up with results in good time.

VERY disappointed! This was our first visit to Mountain View and our last. We had an 8:30 appointment; arrived at 8:20 and checked in; We waited until 9:15 without any explanation. Told the receptionist we were just going to cancel and the response was “okay.” If it was an emergency or you were short staffed, simply let the customers know. The staff did not care at all that we were leaving and gave no explanation for the delay. We are usually very patient and understanding but had other appointments and were dissatisfied with the lack of communication.

Vets are great here. My only complaint is that one lady who works there doesn't seem very happy. They have treated my dogs well. They even went beyond in checking my one dog when his hip seemed funny. Thanks to them we found out out one dog blonde had been hit by a car before we found him. They are surprised he can walk at all. Now that we know we can keep a closer eye on him. Did great with our rescue dog Harry who is very sensitive to being touched by strangers.
